Bogey's Favorites of 2022: Natural Wines
You know we at Bogey's love Natural Wines! Here are our picks for the best Natural Wines we tasted and brought into the shop in 2022!
Il Mostro Longana Rosato Frizzante 2021
An organic Pétillant Naturel showing notes of spice, flowers and herbs complement red berries on the nose and in the mouth. At once dense and juicy, with the light red fruit flavors and floral notes carrying through on the persistent finish. Firm acid holds it all together to make it the exciting glass of sparkling rosé.
Cantina Cantina 'Sandwiches' Pinot Noir 2021
Pétillant Naturel direct press Pinot Noir from Long Island
Hand harvested grapes, whole cluster pressed, and barrel fermented with native yeasts. Bottled at the end of primary fermentation to capture the natural bubbles. Hand riddled and recently disgorged of the lees. No additives, no fining, no filtration. Sustainably farmed. 80 cases produced.
Sebastien David 'Couple Goals' Chenin Blanc/Chardonnay 2021
A delicious, highly drinkable, skin-contact glou-glou wine – is not to be missed. Fermented with wild yeasts; bottled without filtration/fining; virtually no sulfur added. Lip smacking acidity.
Olivier Minot 'La Boutanche' VdF Gamay 2020
A light, dry and chillable bottling of organic Beaujolais in a liter-sized bottle. Charming notes of puréed strawberry and raspberry that pair well with fresh summer vegetables and grilled chicken.
Domaine Milan - Reynard Rebels Non Vintage
A cuvee of Merlot and Carignan with tasting notes of Crushed luxardo cherries, minerality and a hint of earth. Chillable and delicious.
